A Brummie Christmas

Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market sits in the rather elegant centre of this surprising city. Surprising because far from the grim concrete jungle that forms most people's outdated perception of our second city there is a real buzz and a chic sophistication to the new Birmingham. With the sociability of morning coffee and lunch together, a morning tour of the world famous Jewellery Quarter and an afternoon at the German Christmas Market with an optional guided tour of the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery this is a winning day out.

Brummie Xmas

The Christmas market contains some terrific treats, ideal for stocking fillers or a little something for yourself!

Meet the Guide at 10-30am in the centre of Birmingham for morning coffee and biscuits included in the tour fee at the canal side pub where US President Bill Clinton popped in for a pint. Birmingham was the city of a thousand trades and the workshop of the world. The Jewellery Quarter is still thriving after 400 years, retaining one of just four UK hallmarks.

Back to our pub on the canal for a fish & chip or vegetarian lunch included in the tour fee. Individuals can choose and pay for any drinks and desserts the fancy on the day.

Birmingham is home to the world's largest authentic German style Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria. Your members can spend their entire afternoon shopping and sampling the German foods and wines on offer or they can elect to split their time and after an hour at the market meet up again with the Guide. We are going to give you a small taster of the wonderful Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery with its world famous pre-Raphaelite paintings before retreating to the attractive Edwardian Tea Rooms next door to buy refreshments. You'll be heading home at 4-45pm (or later if you choose).
